Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" Arreola

Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" Arreola is a Xicana anti-displacement activist who
proudly lives in a rent controlled apartment in San Francisco's Mission
District. For many years she was the Director of Counseling for with St.
Peter's Housing Committee, a grassroots membership based organization that
does tenant rights' counseling and works to organize Latino tenants against
displacement. She currently works with the San Francisco Human Rights
Commission fighting housing discrimination and expanding human rights at the
local level. Lupe enjoys moshpits, scrabble, crisp apples, and blogging
