We're excited to announce that in conjunction with Baltimore's Indypendent Reader the special City From Below issue is out - 24 pages of reflections and reports coming out of the City From Below conference, and 100% free. We printed 10,000 copies of these, so if you'd like to receive a bundle and can help out with the costs of shipping, let us know at cityfrombelow@redemmas.org. If you're in Baltimore, the papers are available at Red Emma's (and many other places around the city), and if you're in NYC, Bluestockings has it.

Putting together a weekend-long conference without any sort of traditional institutional backing can be a challenge. I thought I'd put together a brief overview of some of the infrastructural elements that went into making The City From Below, in case anyone is interested in how we managed to pull the event off.
